Michael Limb
Company Director, Registered Builder & Passive House Tradesperson
With more than 19 years of experience in the construction industry and a meticulous attention to detail and quality craftsmanship, Michael oversees all aspects of the Design and Construction process from the very beginning right through to Handover.
Michael has been described by previous clients as a “deep thinker and gifted problem solver” that is renown for innovative solutions and outcomes for custom features.
Michael is passionate about supporting and training the next generation of skilled tradespeople and has a committed focus on ensuring his employees have the necessary resources, training and drive to excel. Michael and his management team are determined to promote the perception of the trade industry and regularly host work experience students and carpentry apprentices with a view to creating a future brimming with talented tradespeople.
Michael is a founding member of the world first Builders Declare Movement which a dynamic group of Australian Builders who collectively work together to change the Construction Industry. The Builders Declare movement is committed to increasing the knowledge and skills surrounding sustainable building practices and to promote the importance high performing, energy efficient homes as the future of the Australian Construction Industry. Mick has also spoken at the South Pacific Passive House Conference regarding his Passive House project in Point Lonsdale undertaken with talented architect J. Pablo Sepulveda.
Emily Limb
Business Manager & Interior Designer
Emily has combined her qualifications in Small Business Management, Occupational Health & Safety, Marketing and Interior Design over the last 10 years to bring a dynamic and feminine element to our team. She is also often seen going the extra mile to support our staff and is often one of the last on site giving it a final polish.
Emily has a passion and keen eye for architectural detail and functionality and can assist our clients with all manner of decisions and selections. She believes that sustainability is a consideration beyond construction and has written many blogs and articles discussing how to factor it into interior design designs like, sustainable carpet choices and fittings and fixtures.
Emily has also found that many of our clients, after putting so much thought and effort into building a beautiful sustainable home wanted guidance for interior choices, prompting her to create Pure Nest Interiors, both an online and bricks and mortar store featuring a gorgeous collection of organic, sustainable and fairtrade homewares, products and gifts including her own stonewashed linen range.
Blake Limb
Construction Manager
Blake is our team Captain and Construction Manager and has worked beside Michael from the very beginning. With over 19 years of experience in the Construction Industry, Blake is a highly skilled craftsman who takes pride in completing quality work and managing a well functioning team. He is a people person who is passionate about workplace mental health and creating a supportive and engaging workplace for all of our trades and apprentices. He thrives when he’s liaising with subcontractors and clients and is an integral link between all aspects of construction management for MLB.
Kim Sagnol
Architectural Draftsperson & Landscape Designer
Kim has extensive experience in landscape construction and building design with a passion for sustainable architecture, offering a wholistic approach and complete design package for clients.
His passion for design extends far beyond the drafting table where he creates thoughtful and responsive designs. His interest in using natural materials and harnessing natural light as well as his enthusiasm for sustainable design and construction ties in beautifully with our vision of creating high-performance homes.
Luke Orvis
Lead Carpenter
The definition of reliability – rain, hail or shine….literally. You will find Luke first on site and often last to pack up as his dedication stretches far beyond his uber neat tool trailer and exceptional caulking skills. Luke has a sincere attention to detail with a quiet and determined nature that is reflected by his outstanding craftmanship. He is a true asset to our team and to our industry as he educates the next generation of apprentices by nurturing their skills and development. Everyone needs a Luke.
Lisa Bennett
Office & Accounts Manager
Lisa is a key member of our office team and plays an integral role in the smooth functioning of our business behind the scenes. She is our chief timesheet decipherer, invoice reconciler, SWMS sorter and all round office whizz who makes life easier for everyone.
